Timeless design. Thoughtfully crafted.

Intemporal Architecture is a boutique, full-service architecture and interior design studio based in Connecticut. We work with clients locally, across the United States, and internationally, including projects in Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. Our practice focuses on creating thoughtful, enduring spaces that respond to both place and the people who inhabit them.

Our work is guided by the belief that architecture should reflect the way people live. From the character of a site to the movement of light through a space, we approach each project as an opportunity to craft environments that are both meaningful and timeless. While the studio engages in a range of project types, residential design is a central focus of our practice. We collaborate closely with homeowners on renovations, additions, and new home construction, shaping each project to reflect the individuality of our clients and the unique qualities of their site.

Intemporal Architecture offers a fully integrated design process that brings together architecture and interior design from the earliest stages of a project. Our work begins with careful site analysis and concept development and continues through detailed design, documentation, and construction administration. We believe that clear communication and collaboration are essential to a successful project, allowing clients to remain engaged throughout the design and building process.

At Intemporal Architecture, we believe that exceptional design is not defined by scale or budget, but by creativity, clarity of ideas, and attention to detail. Every project presents an opportunity to create spaces that feel timeless, personal, and built to endure.

Pouya Zhand, founder of Intemporal Architecture, a residential architect in Connecticut specializing in timeless design

With a global architectural education and a deep interest in the philosophy of space, Pouya brings a thoughtful and design-driven approach to Intemporal Architecture. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom and his Master of Architecture from Syracuse University. During his time at Syracuse, he served as a Studio Design Teaching Assistant and received the Alpha Rho Chi Medal for Leadership, Service, and Professional Merit, one of the highest honors awarded by the School of Architecture.

With nearly a decade of professional experience, Pouya has worked on a diverse range of projects including custom homes, multifamily residential developments, mixed-use buildings, hospitality, and higher education facilities. This breadth of experience informs a rigorous design process that balances creativity, technical precision, and careful attention to detail.

His work is influenced by the principles of phenomenology, the study of how we experience architecture through light, materials, proportion, and movement through space. For homeowners, this translates into environments that feel intentional, refined, and deeply connected to the way they live. Pouya approaches each project as an opportunity to craft spaces that are timeless, personal, and enduring.
