Light-filled community assembly hall renovation with stone veneer base, stucco walls, large black-framed windows, and gabled roof in a landscaped setting.

Community Center Renovation

Location:

New Jersey, USA

Year:

2024

Community Assembly Hall Renovation transforms a modest existing building into a warm, light-filled gathering space designed for meetings, learning, and community events. The renovation introduces a more welcoming architectural presence through a stone base, soft stucco exterior, black-framed glazing, and a steep gabled roof that gives the building a familiar residential scale while elevating its civic character.

A large glazed façade brings natural light deep into the interior, creating visual openness between the hall and its landscaped surroundings. Traditional materials such as fieldstone veneer, warm stucco, painted trim, and asphalt shingles are paired with contemporary detailing to create a balance between permanence, simplicity, and approachability.

The project focuses on improving the building’s identity, daylight, and spatial quality while maintaining a calm and respectful exterior appropriate for a neighborhood setting.
